Statistics: Russia’s inflation amounts to 11.94% in 2022

MOSCOW, Jan 13 (PRIME) – Russia’s inflation amounted to 11.94% in 2022, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a statement on Friday.

Monthly inflation reached 0.78% in December 2022 as compared with 0.37% in November of the year because of the second increase of tariffs for public utility services, the service said.

Inflation of food prices sped up to 0.6% in December from 0.4% in November, and reached 10.29% in 2022, while non-food price inflation stood at 0.05% in the month and at 12.7% in the year. Prices for services gained 2.04% in December and 13.19% in 2022.

The average retail price of gasoline increased by 0.91% in 2022, the service said without providing dynamics of prices for diesel fuel. At the same time, Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov said earlier that the diesel fuel price had grown by 9.8% last year.
